Niche: Gifting

Adspend: Rs. 1.2L ($1.5k)

ROAS: 0.3x

Challenges:

Never profitable on ads.

Very average photoshoots done of the products.

 

What have we done?

Data Gathering: We asked the client to provide us the data of which product can sell according to them and have confidence on the quality.

Launching the ads: We launched the Top of the Funnel campaigns with the products recommended by the client and few products which we felt can perform. We created flatlays for the products and ran a carousel ad with a gifting marketing angle. The audience was a single interest targeting personalised gifts. The age group we kept was above 23 and Tier 1 cities of India only.

In the start, the CPM was high but after 3 days it started bringing in sales and CPM automatically decreased.

 

We achieved:

We were able to achieve 6.5x ROAS and the client was operating from home but had to shift to an office and had to hire a few in order to fulfil the orders.

 

What are we Looking forward to:

We are scaling budgets by 30% next month and testing a few more products.

 

Conclusion:

When starting from scratch, you have to bet on products which other brands are already killing it with or test the products which you are confident in. Sometimes we fail and have to test a lot of products until we find the winning ones.
